Invented by ZCorp, now part of 3D Systems ®, this technology is very simple and reminds the process of 2D ink-jet printers. A 100 microns layer of a composite powder (made of plaster and polymers) is spread on the bed while common ink heads fix the powder with colored or transparent binders, creating a solid model, corresponding to the uploaded file. Good resolution, full color, print speed are the main features of this technology. It is strongly recommended to use these products for aesthetic use only even if the products are strengthened with special coatings after printing.
